It all started when I met the Director of Pentel Europe, and Japan through him (he’s Japanese). Before even starting on a sketch, we talked for hours about philosophy, the spirit of the PENTEL group, work well done, writing instruments and desired quality.
My task: to create original pens, sober and elegant, of unrivalled writing quality, and, to my great surprise: « it must be very difficult to produce! I’m usually asked to do the opposite, but Pentel wants the competition to be discouraged from copying a new pen!
